Artists Cordelia Spalding & Alison Atkins have worked together for over 4 years as a result of a mutual interest and commitment to Arts engagement on an inter disciplinary, generational and inter community level. As collaboration they are known as “ME AND ER”.
Their joint love for science and the actual process of discovery and experimentation has led them to work with a wide number of Science based organisations and Scientists. Gaining insight into their work they have then, in turn, helped translate this into commissionable ideas that have gone on to be commissioned for either artworks or public engagement programmes and opportunities.
“ME AND ER” has now worked with 1000’s of individuals of all ages and abilities across the country and have gained not only hands on experience of working with all sectors of the community, but have also gained a deeper understanding of what “true” engagement is, and the conditions needed to make it happen.
